I’ve played both, just recently beat Shift.
Forza Motorsport is an amazing game, and it is unparalleled by NFS: Shift in terms of graphics and game play.
I would highly recommend buying Forza; it has 400 cars and 50 car brands. Need for Speed has some glitches and flaws that get really annoying, and the load times are very long (even with it installed to my hard drive)

NFS Shift looks like fun, but Forza Motorsport 3 is more realistic. Also, NFS Shift doesn’t have too many cars and tracks while Forza Motorsport 3 has tons!

forza 3 is 10x better. its way more realistic and you can customize your cars way more in depth than NFS Shift. and there r way more cars in forza. need for speed started to suck after pro street

i never played forza, but i completed shift and i gotta tell, there has been a long time since a cars game rl makes me so exited by playing it, i love it
