Why would Square Enix make Final Fantasy XIV exclusively to the PS3?

Question from a reader – I think they would make more of a profit if it was for the Xbox 360.

Final Fantasy XIII is coming out on 360 and ps3 which i am very disappointed about considering the final fantasy series is like halo for X-box one of the games that sells the consoles … So FFXIV should be released on 360 also.

It sounds like it MIGHT still come out for Xbox or PC.

sounds like they’re considering their “options” still. At the very least I hope they release it to other systems shortly later after the initial PS3 release.

I’m thinking if they make it exclusive to PS3 more people would get PS3s just to get the new FFXIV game. Lots of consoles sold > Lots of games sold and after they buy a PS3 they might continue to buy more PS3 games that way they make more money then they would have.
